Greetings, and welcome to DeviantART's first-ever (and currently only) club for fans of the Warner Bros. animated series "Histeria!" We're your administrators, *
nintendomaximus and ~
JusSonic. Be sure to send us, or the club, a note if you have any questions.
In case you never saw the show, here's the story. "Histeria!" was the work of Tom Ruegger, who had previous given the world "Tiny Toon Adventures" and "Animaniacs". It premiered on Kids' WB! in 1998, a year when "Animaniacs" had ended production, Pinky and the Brain had become Elmyra Duff's latest captures, and "Freakazoid!" had gone into reruns on Cartoon Network. But unlike the shows that preceded it, "Histeria!" wasn't there just to provide laughs for Kids' WB!'s viewing audience - it also served as a way of educating the viewers in history. The show's screwy cast of characters would visit various events or periods in history and explain it to us by way of a comedy sketch not unlike those seen on "Saturday Night Live" or "Monty Python's Flying Circus". The main characters, immediately so reminiscent of those featured on "Animaniacs" that they've by now gotten their own Wikipedia articles, consisted of:
*
Father Time, the long-bearded ringleader of the group
*
Big Fat Baby, the egg-shaped infant with a habit of stinking up the place
*
Miss Information, the ditzy tour guide who frequently makes mistakes with her facts
*
World's Oldest Woman, an old lady who hits on all the historically-important men
*
Loud Kiddington, the little boy who echos like a thundercloud
*
Aka Pella, the sassy African-American girl
*
Froggo, the frog-voiced boy with a Fred Durst-like baseball cap
*
Charity Bazaar, the depressed girl who frequently tells us she's not happy
*
Toast, the clueless surfer teen
*
Pepper Mills, the hyperactive autograph hound
*
Cho-Cho, the devious Chinese girl
*
Lucky Bob, Cho-Cho's dim-witted companion
*
Fetch, Loud's talking dog who likes chasing tennis balls
*
Pule Houser, the whiny fat German boy
*
Susanna Susquahanna, the Native American girl with the Sylvester-like lisp
*
Nostradamus, the only historical figure on the show considered to be a cast member
*
Bill Straitman, the guy in the business suit
*
Mr. Smartypants, the intelligent man who hides things in his pants
*
Chit Chatterson, the crazy salesman
*
Sammy Melman, the morally-challenged TV executive
*
Lydia Karaoke, the network censor
But being cited by the Annenberg Foundation as the best example of the genre of all children's programs on network television and winning the Emmy Award for best music composition (both in 1999) weren't enough to save "Histeria!" from the lousy amount of viewings it got. Father Time's time-travelling circus left Kids' WB! on August 30, 2001, and unlike its predecessors, it did not go into reruns on Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. It did, however, land a four-month run on Time-Warner's new Internet channel, In2TV,
only to disappear again. But "Histeria!" shall live in the hearts of us fans, and that's why we have this club (and
this petition).
GOOD NEWS!!!! After a two-to-three-month removal, "Histeria!" is back on In2TV! We're not sure how long it'll be on this time, but one thing's for sure, we're happy to have "Histeria!" made available for viewing again. So if you missed out on it the first time, check it out NOW!TO JOIN:Send us a note saying that you wish to join, obviously! (Same thing if you want to show us your "Histeria!" fanworks.) Either that, or

us.
RULES:1. You have to be a "Histeria!" fan, obviously!
2. No bashing!
Now have fun, everybody, here with the fans of "Histeria!"
